New Paragraph
Spend time with your child in the session, help them feel safe and secure, as they start their footballing journey with Hawkes. FUNdamental movement skills, ball manipulation and kicking skills are the foundations of every session.
During this time children enhance their development
and learning abilities, setting the foundations for learning to focus, take turns and follow basic instructions. We create this by pairing children with their adult. Parents can demonstrate and play competitively and co-operativley with them, to enhance their child's experiences. Coaches guide and allow the children to explore and experiment within these sessions.
Peer play provides the environment in which children can learn physical and technical skills, from more advanced playmates, which is associated with cognitive growth. Coaches continue to use guided discovery, whilst using a familiar structure of games.

Its never to early to start engaging in social and physical play. However little your child joins in, its another step towards confidence in that environment
Try not to compare your child to others. They might look the same, but they could be months apart, maybe years, they could even be younger, but attended longer. Just focus on the little wins your child makes, which could be as simple as they enter the building!
Don't get stressed, there is no rush. Enjoy the time watching them try to play, with try being the key word. They will be playing competivtive football before you know it and you will miss watching them as little legs, it soon passes.
